Food Queries

          • Do you use any artificial Colourings?

At Pandora Bell once upon a time Confectionery we only use traditional methods of manufacture and natural colourings.

Our products take their colouring from their ingredients, which is mostly fruit. Although in order to create our vibrant lollipops and hand made sweets we sometimes add a little beetroot or turmeric.

European legislation regarding the use of natural colouring in food is not standardised. So at Pandora Bell we adhere to the recommendations made by NATCOL- the natural food colouring association.

 

          • Do you use any artificial Preservatives?

At Pandora Bell once upon a time confectionery we only use traditional methods of manufacture and natural preservatives.

Our products are preserved on honey and sugar.

 

          • How do you make your jellies vegan?

Pandora Bell Fruit Jellies are made with 70% real fruit, no colourings and no artificial preservatives. We use apple pectin as binding agent.

 

          • What  Gluten Free products do you have?

At Pandora Bell we have a certified celiac friendly range for all your gluten free sweet requirements.

You can buy our products directly from our website or you can find us in the most exclusive stores and some of the daintiest and snazziest souvenir stores, hotels, coffee shops and tea houses around the world.           • How to store my Pandora Bell products?

 If you have the will power, storing away sweets is a great way to encourage moderation and ensure that your Pandora Bell products last beyond a few weeks. But, how long does confectionery last? And, how can you make sure it stays fresh? These are some great tips for storing your Pandora Bell products so they still tastes as fresh as the day you bought them.

Nougat

Nougats should be protected from dampness during storage. Before storing away, make sure your nougat is wrapped individually with clear cellophane.

Fudge

Fudges should be kept covered, away from heat and light at room temperature. Stored properly fudge should last six to nine months, even up to 12 months in some cases.

Lollipops

Lollipops should be wrapped with clear cellophane. Hard candies can last up to two years when stored at room temperature or in a cool, dry location.

Jellies

If the packaging has been opened, your Pandora Bell Jellies should be kept in an airtight container, away from heat and strong smells at room temperature. Stored in this manner, the Jellies should last six to nine months. If the packaging has not been opened, soft sweets will last approximately 12 months.

Liquorice

If the packaging has been opened store your Pandora Bell Liquorice in an airtight jar at room temperature away from direct light and strong smells.

Hard Boiled Sweets

To make sure that hard candies stay hard, sprinkle with finely ground sugar and store in an airtight jar in a cool place to ensure a longer shelf life.

 

Delivery Queries

          • Where do you deliver?

Pandora Bell will deliver your order anywhere in the world. We deliver as soon as humanly possible; subject to your chosen items being avaible at the time you place the order. However, we generally dispatch orders within two working days and will always confirm via email when the delivery is dispatched or if there is any unavoidable delay with your order. One way or another, we will be in contact with you within three working days.

Deliveries within Ireland and the British Isles are done through courier post and are generally completed within five working days. European and International deliveries avail of national postal services and are dependent on local schedules.

However, we would advise you to allow a longer delivery time for Christmas and other seasonal times when demand is high.

At Pandora Bell we take great pride on the high standard of our premium confectionery and we would like our products to arrive to you as fresh as when they leave our premises. Most of our products are heat resistant, however, in very hot climates some precautions must be taken.

Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for the condition of any heat related damage and we would request that you consider whether our products are suitable to the weather conditions in your country at the time you place the order. Tips for Warm Weather Shipping:

If you would like us to ship to a hot country, we recommend you use business address to ensure that the parcel is delivered earlier in the day and that there is someone to take it in.

If the parcel is sent to a house address and there’s nobody to receive it, you could instruct for the delivery to be left with a neighbour or in the shade.

If you allow the items to rest at room temperature for a period of time you can then briefly refrigerate them to ensure maximum freshness.

 

          • What happens if I live in a hot country?

          • What are your delivery costs?

For delivery charges, we apply the rates of the Irish national postal service: An Post.

You can check the postal rates directly with An Post.

 

          • What are the tax charges on deliveries?

 There are no additional tax charges on any deliveries within the European union. Outside of the European Union Tax Charges are levied depending upon product and country of destination. We do not accept any responsibilities for local custom regulations.

 

          • How do I qualify for free delivery?

Deliveries over 50 euros in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland qualify for free delivery.

Deliveries over 80 euros in Mainland UK qualify for free delivery.

The Free delivery will be automatically applied at check out.

 

          • What do I do if my products are damaged in transit?

Pandora Bell products are perishable goods and we are therefore not able to accept the return of these goods for reasons of hygiene.

However, we do operate a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Sweets are quite fragile and easily damaged. On very rare occasions, our products may arrive at their destination damaged or fail to arrive due to an unforeseen delivery issue. If this should happen, please contact us immediately so that we can discuss an appropriate resolution.

          •   What payment methods do you accept?

At Pandora Bell we use PayPal and Stripe payment service providers.

Transactions at Pandora Bell are protected by a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).

We do not hold any customer banking details and all private information is further protected for the brief period when banking details are being processed.

 

          • How secure are your payment service providers?

 Our payment service providers focus on the technical, fraud prevention, and banking infrastructure required to operate on-line payment systems. By using payment service providers we do not store any banking information in our database. Moreover, through a SSL certificate we can ensure that our site is further protected, as the information is being entered and processed.
